We have several important traditions we celebrate each year. Here’s a glimpse into some of our favorites!
Thanksgiving Feast

We invite our students’ families, school district partners, community members, and past graduates and their families to join us for a celebratory feast.
Chopped Challenge

Students compete in small groups to prepare delicious dishes from a mystery basket of bizarre ingredients.
Spirit Week

Every April we have a week of themed dress-up days and activities.
Pi Day

A true celebration of all things Pi. Students engage in educational lessons on Pi in their morning academic classes (which naturally includes a pie tasting and analysis). In the afternoon we play games, and someone always gets a pie in the face at the end!
Crime Scene Investigation

An interdisciplinary unit where students first learn about forensic science and then engage in a hands-on classroom investigation into an unsolved crime.
Carnival

An end of the school year community building event that includes a dunk tank, bouncy house, face painting, cotton candy, bubbles, and lots of games!
Camping Trip

During the last week of school we take an overnight trip to Little River State Park in Waterbury, Vermont. This gives us a chance to fish, boat, swim, hike, roast marshmallows, and tell scary stories together!
Graduation Ceremony

We believe graduating high school is a rite of passage, and we honor this important milestone by formally and publicly acknowledging our students’ years of hard work and personal growth at our graduation ceremony at Champlain College each June. We all wear our caps and gowns in recognition of our students’ exceptional achievement.
