Last year in an effort to further support student and family needs, we created the Mill School Necessity Store. The store stocks a variety of shelf stable goods, clothing, and occasionally fresh food like vegetables, cheese, and eggs. Our goal with the store is to help meet gaps in food and clothing security for our families. Students have access to the store on a needs-basis and, over breaks, there are more concerted efforts made to send prepared food bags home with any families that would like one. We are examining ways to make the store more comprehensive, through stocking toiletries, winter clothing, and sports supplies.
