Our program adheres to a progressive curriculum that recognizes there are many pathways for individualized learning and development. We work with school districts in Vermont to identify students who would benefit from our alternative approach to learning and collaborate on students’ history and needs.
In addition to working one-on-one with students, we’ll collaborate as a supportive team of educators and health professionals to help students identify and reach their goals, address anxieties and fears, and cope with other psychosocial challenges that they have experienced in their lives.
Our curriculum was formulated to promote academic learning as well as interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills throughout students’ lifetimes. We create a safe and secure environment where students understand they have control over their outcomes and can look forward to stability, a daily routine and positive interactions.
Our curriculum follows the Vermont Proficiency Curriculum and was developed by our Chief Knowledge Officer Tim Feeney, Ph.D who oversees an experienced team. Together, they collaborate to create the best program possible for students and foster an environment of mutual trust and respect.
